I love organizational tips. I have seen the trick of using a business card holder sleeve to hold loose or extra buttons for garments, but I wanted to find a way to remember what garment the button went to. I thought about using a Polaroid picture of the garment to insert in the sleeve with the button, but who has a Polaroid these days? So, instead I printed a picture of the garment with its description onto an actual business card, then added it with the button in the business card holder sleeve.
1.) Avery® Business Card Pages #76009 or similar business card holder sleeves
2.) Avery® Business Cards for Inkjet Printers 8376 or similar (computer paper would work as well)
3.) Pictures of your garments uploaded to your computer
To get started, go through all of your buttons and couple them with your garments.
Take a picture of your garment.
Download the picture of your garment to your computer
Add a description of the garment and your image to the Word document business card template.
Finish by printing out the template. Cut them out and then put them into the business card holder sleeve.
It’s a really nice way to organize your extra garment buttons. Once you complete this project, then the upkeep will be minimal. That is unless you are a shopaholic!
