Weekend Fun: March 5-6, 2016
I wanted to share our Weekend Fun: March 5-6, 2016 with you. We had a wonderful weekend.
We participated in the Orlando BDR 10k on Saturday morning and boy did we have a great time! It was a beautiful morning to participate in a run. We also ran into a few friends which made it all that much sweeter.
This was painted on one of the buildings we passed during the race. It was so colorful. I had to share it.
I don’t know what this robot’s name is but of course I had to take a picture with him.
After the BDR 10k, we stopped by our old neighborhood for breakfast. We tried The Metro Diner for the first time and I must say we will be going back. I was fantastic! When the waiter tells you that they were showcased on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives you know you are in for a treat. The Mr. opted for a sweet breakfast which is shown below called the Yo Hala on the Square, which from the menu description states: “Two thick slices of challah bread stuffed with a mixture of bananas, brown sugar, cream cheese and hazelnut syrup, prepared like French toast. Topped with a blueberry strawberry compote!” It was ridiculous. I opted for the savory, Crab Cake Benedict and it was so delicious!
In the afternoon, we headed back out to the Orlando Home & Garden Show. We attending the Q&A session with Jeff Lewis from Bravo’s Flipping Out. He was awesome! So informative, energetic and inspiring. Loved him!
On our way home, we stopped by Carlo’s Bake Shop at the Florida Mall. The desserts are phenomenal. We picked up a Nutella cookie, a mini dark chocolate mousse cake and a mini cheesecake. So fantastic! I’m glad we stopped.
We did a lot of fun and interesting things this weekend and it just has put the biggest smile on my face.
Have a great week everyone!
