I really want to say thank you to my mom for introducing the concept of juicing fruits and vegetables to me at such an early age. She experimented with several combinations of fruits and veggies for juicing. The look on my face at age three would help to determine if she needed to add more apple or grapes to other less sweet juices. At the time, I didn’t understand the benefits of juicing but I appreciate that my mom did this for us so that our family was healthier. I have been juicing my whole life. I’m so happy that organic fruits and organic vegetables are so readily available nowadays. That hasn’t always been the case. I would like to share with you some of the research I have done to show the benefits of juicing fruits and vegetables.
Benefits of Juicing from the below infographic:
- Faster nutrient absorption
- Easier intake of healthy nutrients
- Increased metabolic rate
- Preventative disease
- Stronger immune system
- Cancer Preventative (Beets, Kale, Garlic)
- Bone development and support (Kale)
- Cardiovascular support (Kale, Carrots, Garlic)
- Infection protection (Kale, Garlic, Apples, Celery and Carrots)
We juice many different combinations of fruits and vegetables. When we really want a powerful one we juice: Kale, beets, garlic, celery, carrots and apples. Other times it varies on what taste we have. But the most important thing is that the ingredients are organic.
