Why am I daydreaming about what Christmas cards I will be sending out this year? Is it because I am ready for this 100 degree weather in Florida to be over so that we can welcome the crisp cool weather that we enjoy so much during the Christmas holiday? Or is it because I am addicted to gorgeous stationery and cannot stop looking at it on the web and Pinterest? I think the first option has merit; however, the latter is the real reason behind it all.
Minted.com has a beautiful array of Christmas Card Collections. They have the following choices available for you to likewise drool over:
- Holiday Photo Cards
- Christmas Photo Cards
- Non-Photo Holiday Cards
- Corporate Holiday Cards
- New Year’s Photo Cards
- Holiday Post Cards
I love all the wonderful selections, but I have to say that the “Year in Review” Christmas Cards tickle my fancy. What a fun and creative way to update my friends and family!
After picking out the Christmas cards that are my top contenders for this year, I started moseying on to other categories within Minted’s website. I noticed that all the cards had specific designer’s names attached. This concept intrigued me. I started to do a little research about the designing concept. I went over to the good ole Wikipedia website. It states, “Minted holds bi-weekly design challenges that are open to artists and designers. More than 2,000 independent artists participate in the challenges. Visitors to the website vote on the design submissions and the winning designs are sold on the website. The winning artists are paid a cash prize and earn an ongoing commission on sales of their designs.” What an ingenious concept! This is why I can literally spend hours searching through and loving what seems to be limitless creative selections such as wedding invitations, personal stationery, business cards, art prints and so much more. There are so many ways you can customize them. I love that!
Minted’s Children’s Art Prints and Nursery Art Prints both offer limited editions as well as custom art prints. The art is also created by independent artists. They are printed on archival paper and are available in multiple sizes. All of the children’s art is so darling. What a wonderful gift idea!
I admire the founder, Mariam Naficy, for her decision to support Every Mother Counts Organization. This organization seeks to engage new audiences to better understand the challenges of increasing education and support for maternal mortality reduction globally. They are continually looking for solutions to preventing deaths from complications of pregnancy, of which 90% are preventable. They also encourage taking action to improve the lives of girls and women worldwide, with proceeds from the sales of the Children’s Art Prints and Nursery Art Prints.
There is a section on Minted’s website called Eye Candy and that is exactly what it is. It is an entire area devoted to people’s inspiration boards. They are amazing! Just look below to get a serious tease of exciting creativity. I hope that next summer they will have the Minted’s Summer Party Inspiration Board Challenge again. This past summer you could have won up to $1100 in Minted prizes. How fabulous!
